I've always wanted to get a new tattoo. When I graduated high school I got a tattoo of the Tasmanian devil on my right shoulder and I regret it. It's kind of cheesy and while I was getting it the artist asked me if he can make the taz's eyes red so that he looked stoned. I said sure... Not exactly what I wanted, but I was very insecure and let people do whatever they wanted. My gosh, it was my body and I was letting this guy put a needle in me. (I won't show you what it looks like today!) As I got older I had always wanted another tattoo. Now that I have two kids I've been wanting to get a tattoo with their names. I didn't want a tattoo with Matthew and Abigial's name that looked like it was In Memorial, but in fact I wanted it to be different and cool so that I can get the wow factor. My co-worker recommended maybe an Ambigram. I didn't know that much about what an ambigram was so I did a bunch of research and found a great site that created designs. We went to Florida last year with our great friends and from a recommendation by my sister and her family they gave me a great tattoo artist to go to.
When you look at the tattoo one way it reads Matthew and when you look at it the other way it reads Abigail. The kids love it and so do I. I get a lot of great comments and people think that it's a great design.
For those of you that know me I am very proud of my last name. Around the house we have wall art that says "Trapani" or home decor that has the name in it somehow. In the future I want to get another tattoo that if you look at it one way it will read Trapani and if you look at the other way it will read Family. Stay tuned...
